Jan Domantay is the founder and Managing Director of the firm. Jan graduated at Monash University in 2007 from his double degrees in Science (major in Psychology) and Law and was admitted to practice in 2008. Jan is passionate about solving client’s challenges, particularly in business, property and estate planning. He has a strong background in litigation in all levels of courts including VCAT, Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts. In his spare time, Jan loves travelling with his young family and is an avid follower of all things sports, particularly the NBA, UFC and AFL (massive Hawthorn Hawks fan).
Business Development Manager John Domantay also graduated at Monash University with double degrees in Biomedical Science and Law in 2002. He completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2004. John has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry in both commercial and private lending. He has been a consultant for sole traders and larger business alike, predominantly working within the health industry. When John is away from the office, he enjoys the outdoors with his young family.
As one of the owners of Domantay Legal, Dwayne is the General Manager who adds extensive experience in business advisory and development, along with property related matters. He is currently completing his MBA. Dwayne thrives in all things business and SMEs. He takes a wholesome approach to clients and their respective businesses, ensuring family and assets are paramount in receiving protection. Outside the office life, Dwayne enjoys keeping fit with martial arts, as well as enjoying family holidays with his young family.
Jeffarrio Heron Lee
Jeff is the General Manager of Asia for Domantay Legal. Jeff recently completed his masters in Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at Peking University. Since 2003, Jeff has devoted his life to the Financial Industry in the Asian market and joined Domantay Legal in June 2020. He is responsible for the expansion and growth in the Asian market, collaborating with large Asian institutions. Jeff focuses on long-term growth for the Domantay Legal group in finance and investment banking, partnering and influencing the Asian sector with Australian flavour. He works hard and meticulously, but always remains focused on his young family whom he looks forward to travelling with when the opportunity presents.
Clare (Yang) Liu
Clare holds a degree in Juris Doctor from Monash University, she has also completed Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, and Bachelor of Laws from a major university in Beijing, China. Clare has experience assisting private individual clients and corporate clients with purchasing and selling properties, and FIRB advice for foreign clients. She is passionate about commercial law. Clare is a qualified Chinese lawyer with experience in commercial dispute, corporate compliance, and employment law. Clare also worked as an in-house legal counsel in China. Clare is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. With her bilingual background, Clare is familiar with eastern and western culture. She understands the course of dealing with Chinese clients. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, doing yoga and outdoor activities.
Dickson completed his Law (honours) degree from Monash University and Product Management course from General Assembly.
He enjoys practising in personal affairs, estates and business law. He also loves learning new things especially technology and investments related. Dickson can communicate with clients in Mandarin, Malay and Cantonese. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and volunteers in multiple capacities at his church.
Cindy is a lawyer who enjoys the practice of criminal law and litigation. Cindy initially joined Domantay Legal as an intern and gained a wide range of experience in Commercial law and regularly advises clients on leasing matters. Cindy aims to achieve optimal negotiated, mediated or litigated outcomes for her clients and takes pride in her ‘user friendly’ approach and her ability to distil complexities into simplicity. Cindy can speak English and Thai.
Cindy is also a published artist who enjoys painting live portraits, with a few of her pieces issued in an international book series. She has also been practising Muay Thai since the age of 17 and has a high regard for the fitness industry.
Peter Falconer is a Senior Legal Principal Consultant who has been a highly regarded lawyer for 40 years, helping businesses and individuals in various aspects of law. He is renowned for being very approachable, with a sharp mind and praised for his practical approach in achieving client goals. Peter keeps himself busy in the practice areas of family law, Part IV applications and business law. Outside of practising law, Peter enjoys a good drop of gin and travelling with his wife.
Tim Whitehead is one of Domantay Legal’s Principal Consultants and he was admitted to practice in 1997 after completing degrees in Law and Arts from the University of Melbourne. He is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation since 2008. Tim has 22 years’ experience in dealing with all types of legal disputes including business and partnership disputes, contracts, franchising, domestic building, employment and debt recovery. Every time he deals with a dispute, Tim aims to get you a favourable result as efficiently as possible, so that you can go back to running your business and focusing on the things that you are passionate about.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, running, cooking, and watching his sons play sport.

Nick receives great satisfaction when assisting clients to navigate the migration legal minefield, from temporary to permanent residency pathways. Nick has extensive education, business and corporate experience spanning 30 years and he prides himself on exceeding all levels of service by providing a comprehensive, professional, ethical, efficient and personalised service. In his spare time Nick enjoys martial arts and organising a good lamb spit roast for family and friends.
Sev is our dedicated account manager who ensures clients are always kept up to date. Sev has a strong background in client management and relationships, having previously worked and managed in large enterprises. Sev is a dedicated mother who is passionate about all things fashion. Sev loves spending time with family along with travelling around the world, when the opportunity presents itself.
Sam is the firms Practice Manager. Sam enjoys building great rapport with clients and loves seeing the mutual benefits of strong firm, and client relationships. Through her experience, Sam brings brings great knowledge in managing client’s accounts and the running of the firm. In her spare time, Sam enjoys walking on the beach and winding down with a glass of wine in the company of her family and friends.
Sav is an expert in customer experience, he has been involved in building relationships with high value clients at Qantas for in excess of 20 years and in that time has also grown a successful Resource Logistics business from inception. The ability to manage and exceed customer experience expectations is a great strength of Sav’s and he is also well regarded for his business acumen and ability to bring teams together.
Sav is well regarded by senior business executives throughout Australia as a valued people connector who maintains numerous networking relationships with high profile business leaders that will be extremely valuable to this project.
